Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to a statement by Nobel Laurete, Prof Wole Soyinka that the greatest threats to freedom is the absence of criticism.
Reno Omokri said he disagree with Wole Soyinka and said “The greatest threat to freedom are supposedly wise people who refuse to learn from history and therefore repeat it.”
“Unlike many youths who were ignorant, you, Wole Soyinka knew what General Buhari was like in 1984.
“Yet you endorsed him. You championed the ‘anyone but Jonathan’ mantra.
“You insulted Jonathan’s wife (hippopotamus!). Try what you tried with Jonathan against General Buhari and see if you are not locked up. Keep your highfalutin words that you don’t believe in to yourself.
“You are to blame for Buhari! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!!!”
According to Wole Soyinka quote “The greatest threats to freedom is the absence of criticism”.
